The PSP® Technology – Preanalytical Sample Processing

The PSP technology enables the safest sample processing for molecular diagnostics.

The PSP product range is based on the unique non-chaotropic chemistry of STRATEC Molecular. It is an integrated, standardized system for sample collection, DNA stabilization, transportation, storage and purification – all combined in one kit.
Through the special PSP buffer composition the total DNA becomes stabilized in stool, saliva or swab samples. PSP products enable the sampling and stabilization of specimen during transportation and storage - without DNA degradation, at room temperature. The optimized prelysis conditions inactivate bacteria and preserve bacterial titers at the time of sampling. The purification protocol has been optimized for a fast and efficient isolation of highly purified DNA from the host and pathogenic microorganisms.
